ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Brian Keith Walker Sr. was born on August 21st, 1969, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Lorene Walker. At the age of 9, Brian relocated with his mother to Southern California, specifically to the 57th and Normandie area, where he lived with Earnestine Hunter. During his formative years, Brian spent his summers in Newton, Mississippi, with his grandmother, Cherrie Walker, creating cherished memories.
Brian's journey into the world of entertainment began during his teens when he found a mentor in Freddie Dunn of Rose Royce. Later on, he had the privilege of being mentored by Doctor Daddy "O" Jim Walker. Brian embarked on a career in radio as an On-Air Personality at KDKO in Denver, Colorado. His talent and dedication earned him a press pass for a sports show, but tragically, his life took a dramatic turn when he was involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler semi-truck on December 15th, 1999. Miraculously, Brian survived the accident.
Following his recovery, Brian returned to Southern California. It was during this time that he pitched an attraction idea to Michael Gioa of Universal Studios, which was enthusiastically received. Brian was asked to create a proposal and, seeking guidance, found a mentor in Gordon Cornell Layne of Arrowhead, California. Under Layne's mentorship, Brian honed his writing skills and embraced the challenge of becoming an actor to enhance his storytelling abilities.
Brian's acting journey led him to perform at Lifehouse Theater in Redlands, California, under the direction of Wayne Scott, where he portrayed Reverend Sikes in "To Kill a Mockingbird." He also joined the Riverside Community Players at the Theater of the Round, where he played Salieri’s cook in "Amadeus."
Continuing to pursue his passion for entertainment, Brian established his own company, Chrue Entertainment, providing aspiring performers with a platform to showcase their talents. Alongside his pursuits as a writer and actor, Brian ventured into the world of comedy, performing at various renowned comedy clubs such as Improv, Laugh Factory, Ice House, Flappers, and The Comedy Store.
Driven by his compassion for others, Brian founded a nonprofit street kitchen that not only serves freshly cooked meals but also provides entertainment. This initiative offers essential services such as nutrition and mental health support to those in need.
Brian has now accomplished another milestone by writing his first book, "Bet, Mumbet, Elizabeth Freeman." His debut work is a testament to his storytelling prowess, and he aspires to continue writing and sharing more captivating stories with the world.
Brian Keith Walker Sr. is a multifaceted artist, comedian, writer, and compassionate individual who strives to make a positive impact through his creativity and philanthropic efforts.
